Our yard is at Spring Bank Farm in Gorton. From there we take our own diggers, dumpers and tippers to sites across east and south Manchester, Tameside, Stockport, Trafford, Salford and Cheshire.

About the areas we cover.

How far do you travel?

Most of our work is within about ten miles of the yard: east and south Manchester, Tameside and the Stockport borough.

We also travel west into Trafford and Salford, and south into Cheshire as far as Knutsford, Macclesfield and Bollington.

Do I need to visit your yard?

No. The yard in Gorton is where our machines are kept; it is not a showroom. We come to your site, look at the job and the access, and price the work from what we see.

Does it cost more if I am further away?

On most jobs the difference is small, because travel is only a small part of the total cost.

On a very small job a long way from the yard, travel makes up more of the price. If that applies, we will tell you when we quote.

Do you charge to come out and quote?

No. Site visits and written quotes are free anywhere in the areas listed on this page, with no obligation to go ahead.

Do you take on small jobs as well as large sites?

Yes, everywhere we work. A day’s digging for a patio and a groundwork package lasting several weeks receive the same care and the same standards.

How soon can you start?

That depends on the time of year and the size of the job. Call 07917 678382 and we will give you an honest idea of our availability.

Do you take the spoil away?

Yes. We take the spoil away in our own tippers and grab lorries, and your quote sets out how it will be dealt with.

On former industrial land we may recommend testing the soil before we price its disposal, because contaminated material costs more to dispose of. See our bulk excavation page for more.
