Drainage & drain repairs

Drainage problems found and fixed

Each one can be put right once the cause is known.

We find the cause before we recommend a repair, which can mean digging trial holes (small test holes) to see what is happening below ground. New drains are laid at the correct slope and connected to your existing system, and your garden or drive is put back afterwards.

Common questions

Drainage & drain repairs: your questions.

My garden stays wet all winter. Can you fix it?

Usually, yes. We dig trial holes to see how the ground behaves before recommending a solution. That may be a soakaway, land drainage, or regrading the garden so water no longer collects.

Do I need permission to connect to my existing drains?

Usually not, for a new connection to your own drains. If the work affects a public sewer, or you are building over or near one, there is a process to follow, and we will tell you what applies before we start.

Do you clear blocked drains?

Yes. If a drain keeps blocking because it is damaged, we will tell you, because a repair is usually better value than repeated clearing.
